The agreement between you and Shakka. Written like a human wrote it, because one did.
Who we are.
Shakka Towels Co. ("Shakka," "we," "us," "our") is a Hawaiʻi-based DTC towel brand operating out of Kaimukī, Honolulu. When these terms say "you," they mean you, the person using this site or buying our stuff.
About the product.
We sell hand-woven Turkish cotton beach towels, tote bags, and robes. We do our best to show accurate colors, dimensions, and weights on product pages, but screens vary and weaving is a craft. Slight variations are part of the deal. If yours arrives and it's not what you expected, our Returns Policy has you covered.
Prices and currency.
All prices are in U.S. dollars. Prices may change at any time, but once you've placed an order, that order ships at the price you paid. Sales tax is calculated at checkout based on your shipping address.
Placing an order.
When you place an order, you're making an offer to buy. We reserve the right to accept or decline any order. If we cancel an order for any reason (out of stock, payment issue, suspected fraud), you get a full refund. We'll email you if we cancel.
How you pay.
We accept major credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, and PayPal, all processed by Shopify Payments. Payment info is handled by Shopify. We don't see or store your full card number.

Your account.
You can check out as a guest or create an account. If you create one, you're responsible for keeping your password safe and for anything that happens on the account. Tell us if you spot suspicious activity.
Our intellectual property.
The Shakka® name, the logo, the woven patterns, the photography, the product designs, and the copy on this site are all owned by Shakka Towels Co. You can share photos of your towel on social media. We'd love that. Tag @shakkatowels. You cannot copy, reproduce, resell, or use our intellectual property for commercial purposes without written permission.
Your content.
If you tag us, send us photos, or submit a review, you give us permission to repost it on our channels and use it in marketing, with credit when possible. You keep ownership of your content. You promise that what you send us is yours to share and doesn't violate anyone else's rights.
Product reviews.
We collect honest reviews through Judge.me. By submitting a review, you agree it can be published on our product pages and used in marketing. We don't edit reviews to make them more favorable. Spam, hate speech, or clearly fake reviews get removed.
What we don't promise.
The site and products are provided "as is." We don't promise the site will always work perfectly or that products will meet every personal need beyond what's described on the product page. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability.
To the extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim related to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for the product. We aren't liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages (like lost time, lost beach days, or hurt feelings).
You'll defend us.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and costs (including reasonable lawyer fees) arising out of your misuse of the site, your content, or your violation of these terms.
Whose law applies.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Hawaiʻi, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Honolulu County, Hawaiʻi.
If part of this is unenforceable.
If a court decides any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest stays in effect. The unenforceable part gets replaced with the closest enforceable version that still reflects what we meant.
The whole deal.
These terms, plus our Shipping, Returns, and Privacy policies, are the entire agreement between you and Shakka. They replace any prior discussions or promises about the same stuff.
If we change them.
We may update these terms. The new version gets posted here with a fresh "last updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept them. If we make a big change, we'll email everyone on the list.
